About us

Years ago I had a rescue dog who was not friendly towards other dogs to say the least! So I went to a pet shop and brought him what they advised was a premium very strong dog lead, being a really nice marine rope with antique brass hardware. I felt satisfied that I had purchased a well made strong dog lead that would keep my dog secure when passing other dogs. On the first time using it we passed a lady walking her small dog and straight away my dog started his usual lunging and pulling and shockingly this caused the trigger snap hook to break clean in half! My dog now free as a tumble weed blowing in the wind went charging towards the other dog but luckily the owner was quick thinking and scooped her dog up and lifted it up out of harms way. Obviously I felt terrible and couldn’t believe the trigger snap hook had broken like that on what was supposed to be a premium dog lead which was the most expensive one in the pet shop.

This is when I started researching what materials are often used for making dog leads and I was shocked to find that most are made from cheap and low quality materials. After all, the connection between owner and their dog should be one of absolute safety, trust and strength. So I decided rather than buying more “premium” dog leads most probably to be let down again - why not make my own dog lead from materials of the highest standard which would be far superior.

So I researched the best materials, designs and practicalities and came up with a plan to make a dog lead which I knew I would trust. Once the materials arrived I did ALOT of practicing until I made a dog lead I was really happy with and still use to this day. The feeling of satisfaction made me consider making and selling high quality premium dog leads to other dog owners who understand how important it is to ensure a dog lead is made from the highest and strongest materials available. I am very passionate about making proper dog leads!
